The sheet is the driver’s own ledger, kept daily: what each app paid, tips, the time and miles each app counted as booked, the odometer, and what charging the car cost. The cards below show it day by day, plus what the ride-level record adds: when the day started and ended, how many rides, the biggest fare, how far it ranged. Booked time and miles are the apps’ own daily figures (accept to drop-off, so they exceed time with a passenger aboard). Unbooked miles are the odometer minus booked miles, so they include the commute from Covina and back as well as the gaps between rides; the map’s “empty miles” count only the gaps. Per-hour and per-mile figures here use the booked basis, which is why they sit below the per-trip-hour rates on the Earnings page.

What the days say

The shape is a $300-a-day job with two kinds of exception. The thin days are the short ones: Oct 12 ($117.80) was a four-hour Sunday that ended in Anaheim at 12:37 PM; Oct 8 ($259.91) stopped at 3 PM in West Covina. The fat days are the ones with a long afternoon: Oct 16 ($441.40, the best day) had four LAX drop-offs and a 12-hour Lyft clock; Oct 9 ($409.79) was 38 rides and the latest finish, 11:31 PM in LA; Oct 18 ($389.39) was the only day Uber nearly matched Lyft, ten trips including the Pacific Palisades and Long Beach–Costa Mesa runs. The $3,000 goal fell on Oct 17 and the $4,000 final goal on Oct 19, the last day, by $43; Lyft’s Prop 22 top-up two days later added $45.16 on top, for $4,088.21.
